A speculative map bringing together a few of my favorite cities.

The collage brings three distinct regions together – the Chesapeake Bay, Appalachian Mountains and Mississippi Valley.

From above, largescale patterns play out across the urban areas: the distinctive geometry of each road network, how the city’s edges follow lines in the landscape or redraw them, or how closely the contemporary centers of wealth, power and population sit to historical ones.
