Cell causality networks
I designed this custom tool for visualizing, exploring and expanding on the first whole-cell model, developed by the Markus Covert Lab at Stanford.
Collaborating directly with the team at the Covert Lab, we developed a prototype that enabled them to run complex, interactive simulations of a living cell at unprecedented scale and speed.
In subsequent rounds of development, the prototype evolved into a powerful tool the lab uses to find and test undiscovered causal pathways. Through close collaboration, we developed features that provide open-ended ways to identify and test the edges of what isn’t known or represented in the model and present the best paths for connecting the missing dots.
More detail on the project is featured at fathom.info/covert.
