Carondolet

Carondolet explores the cycling pattern of development and erasure in cities.

The book’s double-sided, asymmetrical accordion structure contains parallel stories – two contrasting landscapes on either side of St. Louis’s city line.

To the north, dusty, forgotten urban neighborhoods on the site of the original French colony. To the south, a sprawling luxury casino, built to resemble a French colonial mansion.
